Equivalent Exchange

Life is always about exchanges. When you receive something you give another thing, when you give something you receive another thing. it just like the first law of thermodynamic.

"energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only change from one form into another"

This also applied to what you do in real life. Nothing is really free even those things that might seem to be. Every free content on your phone or internet is the perfect example. It costs your attention and energy, only for them to be wasted. This kind of consuming is an equivalent exchange. Your energy should cost more.

If you really want to consume, give an equivalent effort to it, produce. Both things burn energy but the other does not waste your attention. In fact, different from consuming, produce create more energy to do other thing. You wil feel more fulfilled and spend the rest of your day with a sense of purpose.

If you listen to music, do music. If you read, write. If you watch youtube, then try to record yourself and start uploading. If you learn, teach. This is the real equivalent exchange to roam in the land of attention currency.
